Notice the spare clutch cable wired to the connected one. (The spare has the finger cot on the end to keep it clean.) I routed it next to the connected cable and just left it laying on the back of the transmission here. Is this overkill? After doing the main transmission shaft bearing replacement, I went for a test ride, or planned to (about 300 miles.) I got two blocks from my house and the clutch cable went (it was not a stock cable, built up by a small local shop.) Instead of having to take of the seat, tank, fairing and two hours of work, I just connected the spare up, already routed! And was on the road in half an hour. Otherwise, my 300 mile ride would probably not happened!
